Bashar al-Assad confers with Saudi defense minister

The Saudi official news agency said on Monday that Saudi Defense Minister Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz met in Jeddah on Monday with Col. Bashar al-Assad and discussed with him issues of mutual concern.
On Sunday night al-Assad held talks with Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, who held a dinner banquet in his honor.
King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia met on Sunday night with al-Assad. The Saudi news agency reported that Saudi Minister of the Interior Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz, Crown Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah's office advisor, and minister of state and Cabinet member Abdul Aziz al-Khweiter attended the meeting.
