Lebanon-Israel, Military, 7/13/1999

Lebanese resistance forces on Monday destroyed an Israeli military vehicle in south Lebanon. In a statement released on Monday, the Lebanese resistance said that one of its groups monitored the Israeli mechanized reinforcements to al-Tebe position and attacked them with rockets and machine-gun fire.

The statements added that a vehicle was damaged, several soldiers were wounded and the installations of the position were destroyed.

Meanwhile, the resistance sent a new warning to all-pro Israeli militias to surrender to the Lebanese authorities.

On Monday, the Israeli occupation forces expanded roads from Zemraya to Eable al-Saqqi. News reports from the inside south Lebanon reported on Monday that the Israeli occupation forces on Monday continued their aggressions against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said the occupation artillery bombarded the outskirts of Majdal Soloum, al-Sawannah and al-Qeseyah valley resulting in material losses in the plantation.

The Israeli-allied South Lebanon Army militia on Monday said that one of its security officials, Ahmad Shebli, was wounded by an explosive planted by the Lebanese resistance in Eita al-Chaab town, which targeted a SLA militia armored force.

Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes continued violating Lebanese airspace. Lebanese security sources said the Israeli warplanes on Monday flew over several Lebanese areas, especially the al-Nabatieh and Baalbeck districts, where they broke the sound barriers.
