Two Egyptian extremists detained in London
Regional-UK, Politics, 7/13/1999

The British police have detained Egyptian extremists Adel Abdel Majeed Abdel-Bary and Ibrahim Abdul Hadi Eid Rous, in accordance with a US memorandum which called for handing over the two men for conspiring with Osama Bin Laden and others over killing American citizens inside territories which fall under US sovereignty, in reference to explosions at two US embassies in, 1998 in Africa.

BBC television said on Monday that Scotland Yard will make investigations into the two accused persons and study the possibility of transporting them to the US in order to be tried there.

The two men, Abdul Majeed and Rous, are joining the Saudi Khaled al-Fawaz, who has been detained in London since October 1998 in London due to a similar US memorandum, and the British supreme court is still considering the US request to extradite them to the US.
