Barak to meet with Arafat, King Abdullah

Israeli Prime Minster Ehud Barak is to meet tomorrow with Palestinian President Yasser Arafat at Erez crossing to discuss methods of pushing forward the peace process. Barak will also meet with Jordan's King Abdullah Bin Hussein on Tuesday in the Jordanian city of Aqaba before the Israeli prime minister heads to the United States.
Israeli sources said that Barak will present to Arafat as suggestion to abandon application of the Wye River accord in return for agreeing to establishing a Palestinian state and for final status negotiations to reach an agreement within 18 months.
Meanwhile, Jordanian sources said that the Jordanian monarch and Barak will discuss the results of the meeting that took place between Barak and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak regarding the peace process and mediating with Barak to hasten implementation of the Wye River accord.
