Egypt, Economics, 7/10/1999

A high-level delegation of managers of the United Nations Organization for Industrial Development (UNIDO) working at the organization's main headquarters in Vienna will travel to Egypt for a four-day working visit.

A press statement said yesterday that, "The delegation that will be escorted by William Holiday, representative of UNIDO in Cairo, will meet engineer Soliman Reda, Egyptian minister of industry and mineral resources, and Dr. Atef Ebeid, minister of public enterprise, in addition to officials in the Foreign Ministry and body of environment affairs."

The statement added that the UNIDO delegation will also convene during its visit to Egypt with Hussein El-Gemal, head of the Social Fund for Development, and officials from the fund, adding that a new project for cooperation between the fund and UNIDO was signed recently, aimed at developing small and medium-sized projects in the field of leather products through providing technology for leather producers.
