Palestine-Israel, Politics, 7/10/1999
Mohammed Abbas (Abu Mazen), the secretary of the executive committee of the Palestinian Liberation Organization, said yesterday that the "Palestinian leadership will not sign a peace treaty with Israel unless all issues of final status are solved in a satisfying way to the Palestinian people." He added, "We can start the final status negotiations before implementing the Galilee agreement, the Wye River accord, opening the safe passage and releasing the Palestinian prisoners and detainees."
