Maritime museum for displaying sunken archaeological finds in Alexandria

Egyptian Minister of Culture Farouk Hosni agreed on a plan for developing the maritime museum in Alexandria and converting it to an international museum that would fit recently found sunken archeology in Alexandria.

Gaballah Ali Gaballah, the secretary general of the Egyptian Supreme Council for Antiquities, said there is a feasibility study being made by an international engineering office, paving the way for raising the development project for an international bid.

He added that the museum will include a special building for repair, research and laboratories and displaying all the sunken archeology that will be chosen from Egypt's coasts in this museum, among which is Napoleon's fleet in the waters of Abu Keir Gulf in Alexandria.
