Morocco and Libya ought to build up complementarity to develop trade

Moroccan Economy and Finance Minister Fathallah Oualalou stressed on Wednesday the need for Morocco and Libya to build up on economic complementarity to upgrade trade exchange.

In a meeting with visiting secretary of the Libyan popular committee of trade and mines, Meftah Azzouza, Oualalou voiced Morocco's desire to develop investments with Arab countries, mainly with Libya. He called the Moroccan-Libyan holding to support the increase of trade between the two North African countries.

The Libyan official is visiting Morocco where he attended the Moroccan-Libyan joint committee of industry and trade held this July 5-7.

Azzouza met with several members of the Moroccan government.

Relatedly, the chamber of advisors (upper chamber of the Moroccan parliament) endorsed on Wednesday an agreement providing for the opening of consular representations between Morocco and Libya.
