King Abdullah praises Syria

In its most recent issue, the Paris based al-Shaher magazine highlighted firm Syrian-Jordanian relations. The magazine's editorial was written by King Abdullah Bin Hussein of Jordan, who said, "We, in Jordan appreciate President al-Assad's role and sincere efforts as well as his wise and courageous leadership."

In the editorial written under the title "The relations of the brothers," King Abdullah said relations between "Syria and Jordan are remarkable and solid, based on historical, geographical, culture and human foundations."

The King added, "During my meeting with President Hafez al-Assad during my recent visit to Syria, I felt the real desire and the care of the Syrian leadership to achieve just and comprehensive peace in the region."
