Albright in Middle East at the end of current month
Regional-USA, Politics, 7/8/1999

U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright will arrive in the Middle East at end of the current month.

Her tour is to include Tel Aviv, the Palestinian self-rule areas, Jordan, Syria and Cairo in a Middle Eastern tour aimed at pushing forward the peace process in Middle East, especially the Syrian - Israeli track.

Albright will try to place pressure on the countries concerned with peace in order to achieve progress in the peace process in light of the Israeli Labor party's assumption of power in Israel and the Arab statements which assert adherence to peace as a strategic choice.

Arab sources told ArabicNews.com today that Albright will discuss the results of meetings and communications she will make with the Israeli, Syrian and Egyptian leaders.
