Arab and vocational unions renew opposition to normalization
Egypt, Politics, 7/8/1999

The national front for the Arab syndic and vocational unions denounced convening Cairo peace conference organized by the Copenhagen group.

In a statement yesterday the front said the conference attempts to undermine the Arab public position refusing all forms of normalization with Israel about which all Arab labor, vocational syndicates and unions expressed through the decisions of its public associations of preventing normalization with Israel.

Ali Ibrahim, the front's secretary general, said, "Communications are currently being made to convene an urgent meeting of the Arab syndic and vocational unions to take necessary procedures to confront attempts to activate normalization operations with Israel."
