Relations between UAE, Sudan on ambassadorial level

Both Sudan and the United Arab Emirates have announced that they resumed relations on the level of ambassadors, after the UAE reduced its diplomatic representation with Sudan into the level of charge de affairs in 1990.
AFP said that UAE dailies quoted Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Othman Ismael, currently visiting the UAE, as saying in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday that the two states had decided to open a new page in their relations by restoring back diplomatic channels to the level of ambassadors.
