French AIDS-Solidarity Fund donates moroccan AIDS patients ff 1.7 million

French AIDS-solidarity fund (Fonds de Solidarite Therapeutique Internationale -FSTI) has granted Morocco a donation of 1.7 million FF for the purchase of medicine for AIDS and VIH patients.
According to a statement of the Moroccan health ministry, the Fund, which was created by French president, Jacques Chirac and French secretary of state for health and social action, Bernard Kouchner, seeks to ease access to medicine for AIDS patients from developing countries. Its main field of action is the prevention of mother-to-child contamination.
The FSTI-Morocco project, to be assessed by the UN AIDS Organizations, will cover poorest patients who do not have a social coverage.
