Abdul Meguid meets with Croatian foreign minister

Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid met with Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mate Granic to discussed many issues of common concern, topped by the situation in the Balkans in light of the recent agreement regarding restoring peace in Kosovo, in addition to discussing the future development of the Middle East peace process and means of activating it.

After the meeting, Abdul Meguid said, "Points of view between Croatia and the Arab League are identical regarding the importance of establishing peace in Middle East and the Balkans and the importance of Israel's new government starting implementation of peace steps according to the previous pledges and commitments."

He also emphasized the importance of starting negotiations that will be able to achieve a comprehensive and just peace in the Middle East.
