Moussa convenes with European peace envoy

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa convened yesterday with Miguel Moratinos, the European Union's envoy for the peace process, who is currently visiting Cairo.

After the meeting, Moussa said he informed the European envoy about the results of President Mubarak's visit to Washington at the request of Moratinos.

He added, "The European envoy will come back to Cairo after his visit to the American capital, which he will reach during the coming hours," referring to the importance of European role and its vitality for the peace process.

Regarding U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright's visit, Moussa said, "Her visit will take place at the end of current month or at the beginning of coming month."
