Egyptian - Palestinian businessmen council to be formed at end of month

Palestinian Minister of Trade and Economy Maher El-Masri stated that the coming period will witness the start of private sector cooperation between Egypt and the Palestinian government and that Egypt will have a major role in setting the Palestinian economy on the right course after ratifying peace with Israel.

Meanwhile, Salah Naser El-Serag, an official for foreign trade in the Palestinian government, said the Palestinians completed the formation of the Palestinian delegation to the Egyptian - Palestinian joint business council, agreed upon during the most recent visit paid by Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa to Palestine, including the trade agreement between the two countries.

He added that a Palestinian business delegation will visit Cairo before the end of the current month to convene a meeting with the Egyptian side and initiate the business council between the two sides.
