Arab committee condemns Copenhagen group conference
Regional, Politics, 7/6/1999
The Arab committee in charge of resisting surrender and normalization with Israel in the Middle East has expressed its strong condemnation of the activities of the Copenhagen group which convened on Monday its international conference in Cairo "in order to strengthen its surrender position in normalizing relations with Israel," SANA said.
In a statement released on Monday in Damascus, the committee stressed its "unwavering national stand towards the democratic revolutionary Arab dialogue form of the national, Islamic and Marxist forces and parties and decisions of the people's Conference which was held in 1996 in Sanaa to resist normalization with the Zionist enemy."
The anti-normalization committee called on the Arab states' militant masses to mobilize their potentials to foil what it called enemy schemes which the Copenhagen group conference tries to impose.
The participants in the anti-normalization conference have unanimously agreed to reject all forms of normalization with Israel before its withdrawal from the occupied Arab lands and the establishment of a just and comprehensive peace in the region, SANA reported.
