13 percent unemployment average in Morocco

The unemployment average in Morocco is at 13% among Moroccan youths.

Moroccan Minister of Social Development, Solidarity, Employment, Vocational Training, and Spokesman of the Government Khalid Alioua said in special statements to ArabicNews.com that his ministry made a study among 60,000 countrymen and rural area residents to measure the unemployment average among the youths.

Alioua stated that King Hassan II gives a special attention to solving this problem, as it directly comes after the issue of maintaining state security.

Morocco is currently hosting an international conference regarding the unemployment of university graduates, under the supervision of the Dutch union for the Arab - European discussion and with the participation of experts from Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Germany, Spain, France and the Netherlands.
