Officials from Moroccan Interior Ministry on study mission in USA

A delegation of top officials from the Moroccan Interior Ministry is undertaking this July 3-18 a study mission in the USA, sponsored by the US Agency for International Development.
During their mission, the delegation which includes a wali (senior governor), six governors and the head of local finances will visit the states of New Mexico and Arizona, as well as Washington DC.
The aim is to get firsthand information on the US experience in decentralization, municipal organization and management, local finances and cooperation between communes. They will also learn more about the US federal system and how relations between local councils are managed.
