Moroccan and Cote D'Ivoire foreign ministers meet in Rabat
Morocco-Cote D'Ivoire, Politics, 7/5/1999
The foreign ministers of Morocco and Cote D'Ivoire, Mohamed Benaissa and Amara Essy, held talks on Monday, covering "issues of common interest," reports a statement of the Moroccan foreign department.
The Ivoirian minister's visit to Morocco is part of long-standing contacts between the two countries and the consultation agreement signed between the two foreign ministries, the statement said.
The Ivoirian official's visit to Morocco will provide to the two African countries an opportunity to carry out actions agreed upon during last May's African tour of Moroccan Premier Abderrahmane Youssoufi.
Youssoufi's visit to Cote D'Ivoire was crowned by the signing of a package of 18 agreements.
