Morocco renews readiness to contribute to a fair settlement in Mideast

King Hassan II has renewed Morocco's readiness to contribute to a fair and comprehensive settlement of the Middle East problem.
This came in a message of congratulations King Hassan II addressed to US President Bill Clinton on the occasion of the United States' Independence Day, celebrated on Sunday.
The sovereign said, "We are convinced of your great and decisive determination regarding the revival of the peace process in the Middle East and you can be assured of our entire readiness to contribute to a fair and comprehensive peace that will preserve the security and dignity of each and every people of the region."
The king also pointed out that Morocco and the united States of America which are bound by good relations in all realms need to consolidate further their cooperation ties in a changing world.
King Hassan II expressed appreciation for the interest President Clinton personally attaches to this shared goal.
"We are satisfied at the similarity of standpoints that we share with your excellency regarding the need to base international relations, at the dawn of the third millennium, on the principles of dialogue between civilizations, on mutually advantageous cooperation and on the respect of international legality," King Hassan II said in his message.
