El-Baz: Mubarak- Al-Assad summit soon

Osama El-Baz, advisor of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, said the summit between Mubarakand French President Jacques Chirac will tackle major subjects in Middle East, especially the peace process, adding that there is currently a proper chance for it.
In an interview with the Egyptian Sawt Al-Arab radio, El-Baz described Egyptian - French relations as excellent, adding that there are French - Egyptian consultations and coordination that are being intensively made on different regional and worldly causes.
El-Baz said, "President Hosni Mubarak will meet after his return to Cairo with Syrian President Hafez al-Assad and Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, and we will consult with our brothers in Lebanon," adding that Israeli Prime Minster-elect Ehud Barak is expected soon in Cairo.
