Ethiopian parliament speaker highlights progress in relations with Khartoum

Ethiopian Parliament Speaker Dabu Woud Yuhans has asserted that Ethiopian - Sudanese relations "have been progressing rapidly towards full normalization."
Yuhans, currently visiting Sudan within a delegation taking part in the celebrations of the 10th anniversary of the "salvation revolution" added that, "Deep ties are linking the two countries" and that Sudanese-Ethiopian relations are based on "reconciliation and cooperation."
He said diplomatic contacts to discuss further closeness have never ceased, even at times of escalation between the two countries. Yuhans added that he coming days will "witness notable progress towards normalizing relations with Sudan," adding that Ethiopia "could build good relations with the Arab and Islamic states."
