Al-Assad in Moscow on Monday

The Syrian presidential spokesman Jubran Koreyah said that the Syrian President Hafez al-Assad will pay an official visit to Russia on Monday that takes two days and fulfills the invitation made by the Russian President Boris Yeltsin.

This visit was scheduled for April, but it was delayed twice in agreement between the two countries.

Russian diplomatic sources in Damascus said that during this visit, the Syrian and the Russian presidents will discuss the development of the peace process in light of the coming government in Israel, as well as bilateral relations, especially in the military field.
