Cairo: Training citizens on producing natural silk

The Egyptian Ministry of Rural Development agreed with a company for producing natural silk in Borg El-Arab city in Alexandria and employing the company's resources in training citizens to produce natural silk while guaranteeing that it will market their products under the supervision of the public development body affiliated to the ministry.
The Ministry of Rural Development said that it asked for the aid of Chinese experience in this field, as a group of Chinese experts arrived in Cairo to study Egyptian silk production as well as to discuss the general framework of the project regarding location, production and training.
He also said 100 young men from five governorates are currently training in the first stage of cultivating raspberry trees and evergreens all through the year needed for silk production.
