During his meeting with several Lebanese parliamentarians, the Lebanese President stressed his continued readiness to support the occupied part of south Lebanon and the western Bekaa.
He stressed that south Lebanon "is the heart of the homeland and a dear part that should stay the priorities of the state."

Lahoud added that Lebanon is "immunized by the unity of the track and fate with Syria," noting that Israel has only one choice, which is to withdraw from south Lebanon.
Lahoud stressed Lebanon's refusal to give any guarantees or arrangements to the Israeli aggression, outside the framework of a just and comprehensive peace in which all occupied Arab lands are freed, from south Lebanon to the Golan, and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people are returned.
