Morocco, Tunisia set up commission for industrial cooperation

Morocco and Tunisia decided to set up a joint commission for industrial cooperation that will meet every six months alternately in Tunis and Rabat.
The decision was made during the visit Tunisian Minister of Industry Moncef Benabdallah paid to Morocco June 27-30.
The commission's first meeting will be held in Tunis next October and will discuss cooperation in matters of cars and cars spare parts manufacturing.
During his visit to Morocco, the Tunisian official conferred with several members of the Moroccan cabinet, with executives of the Moroccan employers' association "La Confederation Generale des Entreprises du Maroc" (CGEM) and with the federation of chambers of commerce, industry and services.
Talks covered means of promoting a new partnership between the two north African countries to be able to face up international competitiveness and globalization and to integrate the two states' economies in world economy.
Both sides stressed the need to upgrade economic and industrial cooperation in order to consolidate the ties of brotherhood and solidarity between the two states and contribute thus to the construction of the large Arab Maghreb and to the consolidation of Arab unity.
