Strict security procedures around US embassies

The United States intensified security procedures around some of its embassies and consuls in Africa and Asia in anticipation of any protest against the judgment issued by a Turkish court of death for Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.
Ocalan's followers say the U.S.A. helped Turkey arrest him in Kenya in February.
The US embassy was closed today in Turkey and security procedures were intensified around American embassies in the Middle East.
Ocalan's followers held peaceful demonstrations in the African countries and urged the international community to stop the execution, which was appealed.
