Syrian artist Fateh al-Muddares dies at 77

Renowned Syrian plastic artist Fateh al-Muddares died on Sunday at 77 in Damascus.
He was born in Aleppo to an Arab father and a Kurdish mother. In most of his canvases he tries to convey humanitarian themes, combined with bright and intermingled colors derived from his own environment in Aleppo, an environment which is abundant in mythology and ancient history.
The deceased represented his country in many Arab and international artistic manifestations. His works, which are of great interest abroad, are displayed and owned in many world countries especially in France, Germany and Austria.
