Guinean fisheries and agriculture minister in Morocco
Morocco-Guinea, Politics, 6/29/1999
Guinean minister of fisheries and agriculture on Monday started a visit to Morocco for talks on bilateral cooperation.
The Guinean official told reporters upon arrival that his country grants a special importance to the promotion of cooperation with Morocco, particularly in the fields of agriculture, fisheries and related sectors.
Moroccan Premier Abderrahmane Youssoufi paid a visit last month to Guinea, part of an African tour that had also led him to Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire, Gabon and Burkina Faso.
Youssoufi's talks with Guinean officials had covered among other issues preparations for the coming African ministerial conference on maritime fisheries to be held in Conakry by the end of next October. The two sides convened to prepare in close consultation this conference that will debate cooperation between African countries bordering on the Atlantic.
