Al-Hoss confers with EC chief of mission

Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss on Monday in Beirut received the chief of mission of the European Commission to Lebanon. Talks dealt with relations between Lebanon and the European Union member states.

Following the meeting, the EU official said he reviewed with al-Hoss the technical aid and financing of certain projects by the EU in Lebanon, especially during the stage of scheduling major projects for the five coming years.

The EU envoy stated that he also discussed with al-Hoss several ideas to reschedule priorities for such EU aid to Lebanon. He highlighted the EU's backing for Lebanon in financing projects in the areas of social and rural development, and backing industries and administrative reforms.
