Speaker of Moroccan parliament takes part in Arab inter-parliamentary union
Morocco-Regional, Politics, 6/28/1999

Speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives (lower chamber of the parliament), Abdelouahed Radi, is taking part in the 34th session of the Arab inter-Parliamentary Union that opened in Damascus Sunday. After he stressed that the liberation of occupied Arab territories is Arab states' major cause, Radi hoped that the meeting will move forward in seeking a solution to the Arab nation's causes.

Radi told the Syrian media that the session, which will debate the present situation in the Arab world, is held at a crucial moment as the Israeli government is being increasingly adamant and is carrying on aggressions against south Lebanon.

In addition to the speaker, Morocco's delegation comprises the 4th vice-speaker, representatives of parliamentary groups and three members of the chamber of advisors (upper house).
