Arab Journalists' Union asks Kofi Annan to intervene to stop Israeli attacks on Lebanon

The Arab Journalists Union condemned last week's Israeli attacks on Lebanon. Salah El-Din Hafez, the union's secretary general, said, "The trusteeship sees in its statement issued yesterday that Israel's expansion of its aggression which included destroying civil targets and basic infrastructure like electrical stations, roads, bridges and houses of innocent civilians forms a serious escalation not only against Lebanon and its people but against the whole Arab nation."
