Lebanon is not ready to sign security arrangements with Israel

Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss on Sunday said, "Lebanon is not ready to sign any security arrangements with Israel and will not give up UN resolution 425," reiterating Lebanon's adherence to the April Understanding agreement. In a statement to the Lebanese daily al-Deyar published on Sunday, the Lebanese prime minister added that the objective of Israel's recent attacks is to drag Lebanon into security arrangements. He asserted the support of the Lebanese government for the Lebanese resistance against Israel, because resistance is a legitimate right.
