Princess launches environment protection campaign

Princess Lalla Hasna (youngest daughter of King Hassan II) launched on Thursday a national environment protection campaign and announced that a prize will be awarded to the cleanest beach in Morocco.
The princess underlined hazards threatening environment as a result of population growth and anarchic exploitation of natural resources.
She called on collectives, enterprises and citizens to shoulder their responsibility by promoting public awareness on the need to preserve environment and rationalize consumption in order to avoid the depletion of natural resources.
