Tribal confrontation in Somalia

Six persons were killed and another 11 wounded in a tribal confrontation in Somalia on Thursday night. AFP said that the confrontation took place between members of the Warsa Ngeli and Elie Omir groups of Abqal tribe, which controls the northern part of Makadishu, started to exchange fire, using mortars and machine guns, at a crossroads in the northern part of the capital. The confrontation lasted for one hour. AFP added that four of those killed were among the fighters and the two others were elderly civilians.
