Mission from the Japanese cooperation fund to visit Egypt

A mission from the Japanese Fund for Economic Cooperation will arrive in Cairo on July 4 for a 10- day visit to discuss increasing Japan's contributions to development projects in Egypt, said diplomatic sources in the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
Sources added, "The mission will hold detailed discussions to discuss the technical details regarding establishing projects for generating wind energy in El-Zafarana area on the Red Sea, in addition to a project for electric convertors in Sidi Kerir."
Sources added, "These projects will be implemented with Japanese currency according to the request of the Egyptian side, for these loans enjoy a decrease in the interest rate with a long payback period allowed."
