GCC foreign ministers to meet in Riyadh in July
Gulf, Politics, 6/25/1999
The United Arab Emirates daily al-Khaleej said on Thursday that the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council states will meet in Riyadh on July 3 to perpetuate reconciliation between the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The paper quoted GCC Secretary General Jamil al-Hujeilan as asserting that the mediation efforts exerted by the ruler of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani, who visited both the UAE and Saudi Arabia for this purpose, resulted in agreement to fix a date for the meeting of the GCC foreign ministers.
