Pope Shenuda: No persecution of Copts, and we do not accept foreign intervention

Pope Shenuda III of Alexandria said, "The country does not practice persecution against the Copts and our relations are distinguished with all officials in the country."
In a press conference yesterday Pope Shenuda expressed his absolute refusal to "the calls directed by some fronts to interfere in Egypt's affairs."
He said, "We do not accept the foreign countries' interference in our affairs. as each country has its domination."
The pope urged the immigrant Coptics not to panic and to make sure that the information they receive regarding the situation in Egypt is accurate.
