Mubarak heads to Washington on Saturday
Egypt-USA, Politics, 6/24/1999

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will start on June 26 an official visit to Washington, during which he will meet with U.S President Bill Clinton to discuss the Mubarak - Gore draft and the US aid presented to Egypt.

Egyptian diplomatic sources told ArabicNews.com that Mubarak will comunicate the Arab states' opposition to the Congressional decision to move the US embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, adding that this matter will be determined in the final status negotiations.

Clinton last week waived the move for six months.

Sources added, "Mubarak and Clinton will discuss means of motivating the peace process and supporting it on the right path, cooperation and coordination between them in order to get the peace process out from the (stalemate) brought to it by the former Israeli prime minister."
