Israel evacuates its office in Qatar
Qatar-Israel, Politics, 6/24/1999

The Israeli Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday that its trade mission in Qatar will evacuate its premises following a dispute with the owner of the building.

An official at the Israeli Foreign Ministry added that the Israeli trade mission will transfer its offices to a hotel in Doha next week.

The owner of the building where the Israeli trade mission stayed won a court decision that asked the Israeli mission to evacuate the place because the owner did not know that the Israeli mission was the new renter for the place.

Prices of real estate have been reduced in the area of the building, a reflection of Qatari citizens feelings towards of the existence of the Israeli office among them.
