Saudi - Yemeni committee on border demarcation concludes latest session

The Saudi-Yemeni joint committee to renew border demarcation concluded its 15th session on Wednesday in Riyadh. A joint statement was released on this occasion which said that, "Talks were held in atmospheres of understanding," and that field technical teams will resume their works in monitoring the 29th border marks stated in the reports of borders concerning al-Taif agreement.

The two sides agreed that the committee's next meeting will take place on September 14, 1999 in Sanaa, Yemen.

Saudi Arabia signed during the few past weeks border maps with Qatar and Saudi Minister of the Interior Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz, said following the Qatar, during a graduation ceremony for higher cadets for security sciences, that the agreement on Saudi-Yemeni borders will be signed very soon.
