Jordan's king appreciates support from Arab states

King Abdullah of Jordan expressed deep appreciation Tuesday for Arab countries, namely the Arab Gulf states, Syria and Libya, for their support of his nation in all domains. King Abdullah made the statement at a Cabinet meeting, reports the ordanian news agency, Petra.

Petra said the king was briefed about the shortage of drinking water in Jordan, resulting from rain shortfall, and efforts by the Ministry of Water and Irrigation to provide water to citizens.

Syria is granting Jordan eight million cubic meters of drinking water during summer.

King Abdullah said establishing economic projects would improve the economic conditions in Jordan in a manner benefitting everyone, as well as reducing unemployment.

He spoke about "the good and fruitful results" of his visits and visits to a number of European and Arab countries, and the USA.
