New Syrian embassy inaugurated in Ottawa

Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa on Monday night opened the premises of the new Syrian embassy in Canada. The inauguration ceremony was attended by members of parliament and officials at the Canadian Foreign Ministry, Arab and foreign ambassadors accredited in Ottawa and the Syrian community.
Later in the day, the Syrian FM met with the Arab ambassadors accredited to Canada and briefed them on the latest developments in the region. The minister spoke about Syria's principled stances concerning issues and challenges currently facing the Arabs.
