Arab parliament meetings in Damascus on Sunday

Works of the 34th session of the Arab Parliamentary Union will convene on Sunday under the chairmanship of Ahmed Fathi Sorour, head of the Egyptian parliament.
Nour El-Din Bashkoush, the secretary general of the Arab Parliamentary Union, said the union will discuss a report regarding the Arab common market as well as the final agreements on establishing a parliamentary organization focused on the common market, which will convene its first meeting on July 29 in Damascus, and discussing means of enhancing Arab solidarity as well as enhancing Arab unity in the shadow of the circumstances facing the Arab states.
He added, "The Arab Parliamentary Union supports any idea that tries to revive Arab solidarity and the union of the Arab states, and it also welcomes President Mubarak's initiative and the Moroccan monarch's for convening a comprehensive summit conference to for uniting the Arab nation's stance."
