Egypt, Sudan to raise level of diplomatic representation

Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Othman Ismael said on Monday that the coming phase will witness raising of the diplomatic representation between Sudan and Egypt. He added that issues suspended between the two states are currently "witnessing a great move, especially the security and economic files."
The Sudanese minister denied his country's refusal to convene a Sudanese national dialogue conference for reconciliation in Cairo. He added that Sudan "has no objection to the presence of Sudanese opposition or non-opposition in Eritrea," adding, "Our only objection is that to using the Eritrean territories for doing harm to Sudan."
It was announced in Khartoum on Monday that Egyptian Minister of Oil Hamdi El-Banbi will take part and lead a delegation from his ministry, in the celebration to mark the 10th anniversary of reigning of the Salvation Front in Sudan by the end of this month.
El-Banbi will hold talks on oil cooperation between Cairo and Sudan.
Meanwhile, former Sudanese President Jaafar al-Numeiri, who is also the chairman of the People's Working Masses Alliance, reiterated his call for reconciliation in Sudan. In a speech he made at Port Sudan on Sunday night, al-Nimieri called for tolerance and for maintaining dialogue among the Sudanese people.
