11th international conference for Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs to start tomorrow in Cairo

Works of the 11th international conference of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs are to start tomorrow under the title, "Toward a civilizational project for the Islamic world's renaissance."

The conference will be held under the auspices of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, who will direct an addressed to the conference that will be delivered by Egyptian Minister of Endowments Hamdi Zakzouk and will last for four days.

170 Islamic intellectuals and scientists, ministries of endowments, Muftis, and international Islamic organizations -- the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the Islamic World Association, Conference of Islamic World, the International Islamic Council for Rescue and Mission, the Arab League and Alissco Organization -- are participating in the conference.

The Egyptian minister of endowments said, "The conference tackles three cultural pivots and will discuss the essential basis for modern culture in the Islamic world, the effects of globalization on the cultural identity of Islamic nations."

The second pivot tackles the social field and discusses the essential basis for society in the Islamic societies.

The third pivot discusses aspects of the current economic cooperation among the Islamic states.
