Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz has asserted his satisfaction over the talks held on Saturday between the emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani, and United Arab Emirates Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed.

In a statement issued by the Saudi daily Okaz on Sunday, Crown Prince Abdullah described the talks as good. He added that the president of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al-Nahyan, "is like a father for us." He expressed his satisfaction over the results of his meeting with the ruler of Qatar.

In a similar statement to the same paper, Saudi Defense Minister Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz described relations between Saudi Arabia and the UAE as "fraternal ties."
