Qrei asks new Israeli government to stop settlement
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 6/19/1999

Ahmed Qrei, head of the Palestinian Legislative Council, asserted the Palestinian government's refusal to get directly involved in negotiations regarding final status with the Israeli side.

Qrei referred to the importance of pushing forward the peace process with Israel through two tracks, which are implementing the transitional stage according to the ratified agreements between the two sides then getting into the final status negotiations.

Qrei asked the new Israeli government to stop settlement operations inside the occupied Arab lands and to stop taking any unilateral actions, as well as to stop attempts to Judaize Jerusalem.
