Egyptian economic delegation to visit Libya to increase trade

An Egyptian economic delegation under the chairmanship of Minister of Finance Mohie El-Din El-Ghareb is heading today to the Libyan capital, Tripoli, to discuss means of enhancing relations between the two states in industrial and commercial fields.
During the three-day visit, the two sides will discuss evaluating Libyan - Egyptian cooperation and drafting a future plan for developing this cooperation as well as ending coolness in commercial and economic relations.
Egyptian economic sources said, "The two countries seek to increase the average of commercial exchange, which does not exceed $150 million to half a million dollars annually," adding that the delegation comprises officials in the public sector and Egyptian businessmen.
Statistics issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Economy said that Libya contributed to 91 investment projects through the beginning of last year, with investments that reached nearly 729 million Egyptian pounds.
